IDC: 2013Q3 Android smartphone market city of about 80% of shipments

Market research firm IDC released the second quarter of 2013 global smartphone report, the global smart phone shipments of 236.4 million units, compared with 2012 growth of 51.3 percent over the same period, of which the Android system in the global smartphone market, accounting for close to 80%, which is market, the biggest winner, iOS's market share is relatively decline.
According to IDC's report shows, Android system shipments for the quarter remained ahead, second quarter 2013 shipments of 187.4 million units, compared with growth of 73.5% over the same period last year, market share has risen to 79.3%. Android system market share benefited from the growth products such as Samsung Galaxy S4 selling, LG and Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE's smartphone shipments also grew rapidly, and two South Korean companies and three Chinese manufacturers shipments accounted to Android shipments 62.5% overall; Apple iOS operating system product shipments of 31.2 million units, compared with the second quarter of 2012 grew 20% market share in 2012 from 16.6% in the second quarter fell to 13.2%; Windows Phone ranked third with a market share of 3.7% in a single quarter, shipments of 8.7 million units, compared with growth of 77.6% over the same period last year.
